Investment in Marketable Securities
During the fourth quarter of 2004, Huntington completed a transaction whereby it sold its entire ownership in the Croinor gold property and other mining properties located in the Val d'Or, Quebec region to South-Malartic Exploration Inc.
In a separate prior transaction, certain other mining exploration properties owned by Huntington, were sold to Goldbrook Ventures Inc.
These properties were exchanged for treasury shares of the purchasing companies. Accordingly, Huntington has investments in marketable securities of these companies as follows:
- South-Malartic Inc. (MSU-TSX.V)
- 1,500,000 common shares
- 1,500,000 warrants - expiry September 1, 2006 - strike price $0.60)
- Goldbrook Ventures Inc. (GBK-TSX.V)
As at September 30, 2005, Huntington is carrying the South Malartic Exploration investment at an amount of $248,266.
